José M. (“Pepe”) Ruiz Luque is a Corporate Development, Finance and Strategy professional with 8 years of Investment Banking experience, during which he advised clients in the execution of Merger & Acquisitions, Debt and Equity Capital Markets transactions.
Before joining Cambium, Pepe was an Executive Director in the Latin America Investment Banking group at Nomura Securities, where he was responsible for client coverage, new business origination and transaction execution for key clients based in Spanish-speaking Latin America. Prior to joining Nomura, he was a Vice President in Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Finance and M&A group for Latin America.
Pepe advised clients in the following industries:
- Agribusiness
- Fast Moving Consumer Goods
- Infrastructure: Airports and Toll Roads
- Metals & Mining
- Power & Utilities
- Sovereigns
- Transportation: Airlines
In addition, he held various commercial and industrial planning positions at Tenaris (Techint Group), Argentina's leading industrial conglomerate.
Pepe graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires in 2000 and received his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2008.
